Wind advisory for Los Angeles County for Thursday — gusts could peak at 40 mph
Catalina/Santa Barbara Islands, Los Angeles County Beaches and Palos Verdes Peninsula are the focus of a wind advisory released at 12:05 p.m. on Tuesday by the National Weather Service. The advisory is valid for Thursday, March 5 between midnight and 9 a.m.
According to the NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA, “Northwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph expected.”
“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” the NWS said.
