Five arrested in nationwide police crackdown

Five people were arrested during coordinated police operations carried out across Cyprus on Monday night.

During the night-time patrols, police stopped 296 vehicles for inspection and checked 351 individuals travelling in them.

Twenty-one premises were inspected as part of efforts to combat delinquency, resulting in one complaint.

Traffic controls led to 122 reports for various violations, including two cases of driving under the influence of alcohol.
