Winter Storm Warnings Announced Following 38 Inches of Snow, 75 mph Winds

March brings to mind bright flowers and the first days of spring, but on Tuesday, March 1, the National Weather Service (NWS) continued to issue warnings for severe weather in areas of the country.

The NWS has announced new winter storm warnings, watches and advisories for areas of the Northeast that just dug themselves out of the blizzard of 2026, as well as areas of the Midwest already dealing with extreme cold weather.
