Puri IIC, on the run for 7 months in drugs case, surrenders

Suspended inspector Rajesh Baliarsingh, absconding for seven months in connection with an illegal cannabis trafficking network, surrendered before the Jeypore district judges court. He had previously given police the slip in Bhubaneswar. The high court granted him bail with strict conditions, including no contact with traffickers and full cooperation with the investigation.
