Eric Dane Cause of Death Revealed

Grey’s Anatomy star Eric Dane passed away last month.

He was 53 years old.

According to People, Eric Dane died of respiratory failure.

Eric Dane was known for his role as Dr. Mark Sloan or “McSteamy.”

Last year Eric Dane revealed he was diagnosed with ALS – a disease that affects the nervous system and ultimately leads to loss of muscle control.

“With heavy hearts, we share that Eric Dane passed on Thursday afternoon following a courageous battle with ALS,” the family’s statement to Fox News read.
