India manufacturing growth hits four-month high in February, PMI shows

India’s factory activity grew at its fastest pace in four months in February, driven by strong domestic demand, though export growth slowed to a 17-month low, a survey showed. The HSBC India Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index rose to 56.9 in February from 55.4 in January, remaining above the 50 mark that signals expansion.
