SEBI mutual fund reforms 2025: Equity funds can invest up to 35% of their non-core allocation in gold/silver, InvITs, debt instruments

The Securities and Exchange Board of India has introduced new rules for mutual funds. Equity funds can now invest in gold and silver. Solution-oriented funds are being discontinued. New sectoral debt funds are being launched. These changes aim to provide more flexibility and transparency for investors. Life Cycle Funds are also being introduced for goal-based investing.
