India allows eligible manufacturers to defer customs duty payments from April 1; aims to boost liquidity and exports
The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs has launched a new scheme for manufacturers. Eligible importers can now defer customs duty payments on imported goods. This initiative aims to boost working capital for businesses. The facility will be available from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2028. This move is expected to encourage investment and production within the country.
