City Councilmember Ysabel Jurado launches homeless outreach team in her district

Los Angeles City Councilmember Ysabel Jurado launched a new homeless outreach team on Friday dedicated to constituents in the 14th Council District encompassing portions of downtown and northeast Los Angeles.

The group is called the Leading Outreach with Valued Engagement, or LOVE team, which is a partnership with Urban Alchemy, a homeless services provider. The City Council previously approved a $300,000 contract for 12 months of service with the organization, using discretionary dollars from Jurado’s office.
