After slow start, project gathers steam

A decades-long dream for a new railway line connecting Khurda Road and Balangir faced numerous hurdles, including financial viability concerns and slow progress. Public demand and political will eventually propelled the project forward, with accelerated work and cost-sharing agreements after 2014, finally inching towards completion with recent forest clearances.
