Man arrested after 11kg cannabis seizure

A 32-year-old man was arrested during a police operation on Friday after approximately 11 kilograms of cannabis were found in his possession.

According to police, the operation was launched following information that the man had received a parcel from a courier company.

He was then stopped while driving his vehicle, and officers carried out a search during which the cannabis was discovered.

Police said that, given the substantial quantity seized, the drugs are believed to have been intended for distribution.
