Peter Bankes remains ‘comfortable’ with his decision to disallow Tottenham goal vs Arsenal

Referee Peter Bankes has tried to justify his decision to disallow Randal Kolo Muani’s second goal for Tottenham in the North London derby, but there is a problem with his reasoning.

Tottenham Hotspur can hardly claim they deserved anything other than a defeat against Arsenal in the North London derby, considering the team’s poor overall performance.

However, Spurs were denied a goal which would have made the score 2-2 during the second goal of the game, due to what was deemed to be a foul in the build-up.
