New compact low-power consumption device supports redundant power supply rails from Toshiba

Toshiba Electronics Europe has introduced the TPD7110F, an ideal diode controller that enables safe power control and flexible design in automotive systems. Target applications include battery management systems (BMS), head-up displays (HUD), and body control modules (BCM)

The TPD7110F features reverse-polarity protection to prevent damage caused by battery connection errors. Additionally, automotive safety designs require redundant configurations, increasing the significance of ideal diode controllers.
