Great-grandson of Edwin Lutyens criticises removal of his bust from Rashtrapati Bhavan

Matt Ridley, descendant of architect Edwin Lutyens, has voiced criticism over the removal of Lutyens' bust from Rashtrapati Bhavan. The bust was replaced with one of Chakravarti Rajagopalachari. Ridley noted Lutyens' name was also previously removed from the building's plinth. He described Lutyens as an architect, not a viceroy, and highlighted the building's diverse architectural influences.
