‘Gavin Newsom is flailing’: CNN data guy notes governor’s chances of securing Dem nomination are sinking

CNN senior data analyst Harry Enten said on Tuesday that Americans are no longer paying much attention to Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom.

Newsom’s chances of becoming the 2028 Democratic nominee dropped from 37% in November to 28% in February, Enten said while citing Kalshi’s prediction market odds. Google searches for Newsom also dropped by 63% since August, when Newsom began mocking President Donald Trump on social media.
