BJD faults paddy procurement; BJP calls it cheap politics

The BJD has protested alleged irregularities in paddy procurement in Bhubaneswar. Party president Naveen Patnaik demanded a special squad to prevent weight-cut deductions. The BJP countered that the BJD is engaging in theatrics. BJP spokesperson Biranchi Narayan Tripathy stated the government is procuring more paddy and is committed to farmers' welfare.
