A man and his daughter were awarded Rs 1.5 lakh in compensation by a New Delhi consumer commission after a 15-hour international flight to New York was marred by a broken seat, dirty toilet, and poor food. The airline was found guilty of deficiency in service for providing subpar amenities despite charging Rs 2.73 lakh for the tickets.
