France to summon US ambassador over comments on ar-right activist's killing

France will summon the US ambassador to Paris over comments made by the Trump administration about the killing of a French far-right activist blamed on the hard left, the foreign minister said Sunday. Commenting on the death of Quentin Deranque, the US State Department's bureau of counter-terrorism posted on X that ”violent radical leftism is on the rise” and poses a threat to public safety.
