British architect Lutyens' statue in Rashtrapati Bhavan to be replaced with C Rajagopalachari's

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a significant change at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The statue of British architect Edwin Lutyens will be replaced by one of C Rajagopalachari, India's first governor-general. This move signifies a departure from colonial symbols towards honoring Indian leaders. The new statue will be unveiled on February 23 during 'Rajaji Utsav'. An exhibition will also be held.
