VPSO alerts businesses to phone scam seeking ad funds

The Vermilion Parish Sheriff's Office is warning local business owners about a phone scam involving a caller soliciting money for a "community guide magnet." A caller identifying herself as Felicia Gibson is reportedly asking for $1,500 while claiming to represent the "Abbeville Sheriff Department."
