Criminal Illegal from Mexico Shoots South Carolina Officer in the Chest While Attempting to Flee

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) provided additional information after a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, who was previously convicted of illegal reentry, shot a police officer in the chest in Charleston County, South Carolina, on February 1.

ABC News 4 reports law enforcement responded to reports of gunfire in the Johns Island area.

While en route to the scene, deputies state that they spotted the suspect’s vehicle at the intersection of Maybank and River Road.
