Iran Warns UN It Will Target US Bases If Attacked

Iran has warned the United Nations it will target US bases and assets across the region if attacked, escalating tensions.

Iran said in a letter to António Guterres that any attack by the United States would be met with a “decisive response,” including strikes on American bases, facilities and assets in the region.

In the letter dated Friday, February 20, Iran’s permanent mission to the United Nations said threats from Donald Trump indicate a “real danger of aggression” against Tehran.
