Snowless California Ski Area To Reopen for First Time In Two Years After Huge Snowfall

Alta Sierra Ski Resort, a small ski area located near Bakersfield in Southern California, has announced it will welcome guests to its slopes and lifts for the first time in two years.

"YAHHH! We have an Opening Day Planned. February 21-22!" wrote Alta Sierra in a Facebook post on Tuesday. "We received over 15" of fresh snow yesterday with more storms forecasted for Thursday, February 19."
