Power discoms in Odisha mop up Rs 500cr in penalties

Odisha's power distribution companies have collected over Rs 500 crore in penalties from consumers for various violations, including delayed payments and illegal connections. Deputy Chief Minister K.V. Singh Deo informed the assembly that these collections, levied as per the regulatory framework, are deposited into the respective discoms' accounts.
