Update: Anticipate damaging winds with thunderstorms in Los Angeles County Wednesday — winds gusting up to 60 mph

Los Angeles County was placed under an updated severe thunderstorm warning by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 1:42 a.m. The warning is in effect until 2:30 a.m.

Residents should prepare for wind gusts of up to 60 mph.

“At 1:42 a.m., severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Hwy 138 Between I-15 And Hwy 2 to near Carson, moving northeast at 100 mph,” the NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA said. “Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.”
