J.T. Toppin exits injured as No. 13 Texas Tech falls to ASU

Texas Tech's J.T. Toppin, the reigning Big 12 Player of the Year, injured his right knee and did not play the last six-plus minutes of the 13th-ranked Red Raiders' 72-67 upset loss to Arizona State on Tuesday in Tempe, Ariz.

Toppin, who had 20 points and eight rebounds, fell hard to the ground while making a drive to the basket and clutched his right knee before he was helped to the bench.

A few minutes later, he was assisted to the locker room, and he did not return.
