Winter weather advisory in place for the Greater Lake Tahoe Area for Thursday — wind gusts reaching 50 mph

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory at 1:43 p.m. on Tuesday valid for Thursday, Feb. 19 between 4 a.m. and 10 p.m. for the Greater Lake Tahoe Area.

“Additional snow accumulations between 1 to 3 feet in the Tahoe Basin, locally up to 4 feet along the highest peaks. Snow totals will be highest on the west shore, and much of Alpine County.
