The federal government will deposit $1,000 per child into new Trump Accounts starting in 2026. This is a one-time government payment. It is not automatic. Parents must open the account and claim it through their tax filing. Eligible children must be U.S. citizens with Social Security numbers and born between 2025 and 2028.
