Comet Wierzchoś (C/2024 E1) is an ancient, green-glowing comet formed almost 4.5 billion years ago that is currently making a one-time pass near Earth. Discovered by Kacper Wierzchoś in March 2024, it was later analyzed using the James Webb Space Telescope, which detected carbon dioxide venting from its coma.
