Tarique Rahman, the chief of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), will take the oath as the Prime Minister of Bangladesh today. Tarique Rahman is the son of Ziaur Rahman and Khalida Zia. Rahman was jailed for corruption cases and was in exile in London for around 17 years. Asked about India and Bangladesh ties, Tarique Rahman said he wants a relationship of mutual respect and mutual understanding between the two countries.
