Where to celebrate the Lunar New Year in Marin

• Marin Asian-American Public Local Employees and the Civic Center Library host a Lunar New Year celebration with interactive tables, activities and cultural displays focusing on Lunar New Year traditions across different Asian cultures, along with a taiko drumming performance by Kristy Oshiro, from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Marin Civic Center Cafeteria at 3501 Civic Center Drive, room 233, in San Rafael.
