Ronald Reagan was in his first year of a very popular Presidency, and Lee Iacocca was helping the Chrysler Corporation rebound from dismal sales in the late 1970s for their cars. You do remember Chrysler K Cars? I think every Government official including myself, drove one in white during the late 1980’s on the job.
