OUTR signs pact to boost state’s handloom & textiles sector

Odisha University of Technology and Research (OUTR) and the state directorate of textiles have inked a three-year pact to boost the handloom and textiles sector. This collaboration aims for technology upgrades, enhanced product quality, and training for weavers. It includes research in loom technology, dyeing, and sustainable practices, alongside market linkage support and preserving traditional knowledge.
