Avalanche watch in place for the Greater Lake Tahoe Area until Monday morning

At 7:55 a.m. on Sunday, the National Weather Service reported an avalanche watch in effect until Monday Feb. 16, at 8 a.m. for the Greater Lake Tahoe Area.

The NWS Reno NV says to prepare for, “HIGH avalanche danger is anticipated in the backcountry Monday evening, lasting through Tuesday night, and possibly into Wednesday.”
