IITs to soon let students cross campuses for a semester

From this academic year, IITs will allow students to take select courses at other campuses and even spend a semester away from their home institute, marking the first formal academic exchange within the IIT system, according to a Times of India report. The move is expected to ease the rigid structure of the JEE-based system, where one rank has traditionally defined both entry and the academic path for years.
