With heavy rain expected, City of Los Angeles issues evacuation warnings for burn scars
LOS ANGELES — Storms are expect to move across the Southern California beginning Sunday, bringing colder winter temperatures and significant rainfall to the valleys and inland areas and snow to the mountains.
In advance of the storm, the City of Los Angeles on Saturday announced that evacuation warnings were issued for burn scar zones because of possible debris flows. Warnings were issued for the Palisades, Hurst and Sunset fire zones. The warnings are effective from 9 p.m. Sunday through 9 a.m. Tuesday.
