Railway eyes Rs 30,000 crore revenue boost from Gati Shakti Cargo Terminals

Indian Railways aims to generate Rs 30,000 crore in incremental revenue over three years through new Gati Shakti Cargo Terminals (GCTs). The national transporter is also prioritizing a hygienic travel experience by integrating end-to-end cleaning for general class coaches, a continuous model replacing the previous station-based approach. This reform will be implemented across all trains within three years.
