Minister Ben Phiri Urges Crackdown on Corruption, Stronger Decentralisation at Iconic Africa Awards

Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Dr Ben Malunga Phiri, has called for decisive action against corruption and stronger decentralisation policies to accelerate sustainable development across Africa.

Dr Phiri made the remarks in Zimbabwe, where he represented President Peter Mutharika at the 2026 Iconic Africa Awards, also known as the Iconic Africa Summit Honors 2026, held in Harare.

President Mutharika was celebrated for his outstanding leadership and political acumen.
