12,300 coaches, 460 locomotives equipped with CCTV cameras: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said about 12,300 coaches, including all operational Vande Bharat and Amrit Bharat trains, and 460 locomotives now have CCTV cameras installed to improve passenger safety and security. He said the cameras aim to deter crime, prevent vandalism and theft, and assist in investigations, with zonal railways continuing procurement and installation across the network.
