Vande Bharat AC chair car fares much lower than those in China, Japan, France: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw

Indian Railways' Vande Bharat AC chair car fares are much lower than those in China, Japan, and France. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw stated this in Lok Sabha. Fares in India are around Rs 2.19 per kilometre. This affordability has led to high occupancy on Vande Bharat routes. Ordinary class fares on Indian Railways are also among the lowest globally.
