High wind warning in place for 5 freeway through Grapevine until Wednesday afternoon – winds gusting up to 60 mph

A high wind warning was issued by the National Weather Service on Tuesday at 5:52 p.m. in effect until Wednesday Feb. 11, at 1 p.m. for 5 freeway through Grapevine.

The NWS Hanford CA states to be ready for, “South winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph.”

“Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles,” the NWS said. “Remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows.
