Former US President Donald Trump claimed he prevented an India-Pakistan conflict in May 2025, asserting tariffs were the key to de-escalation. He stated the Pakistani Prime Minister acknowledged his role in saving millions of lives. India, however, has consistently refuted these claims, attributing the ceasefire to bilateral discussions between their DGMOs.
