Asian Development Bank clears $182 million loan for Assam flood management

The Asian Development Bank has approved an additional $182 million for Assam. This funding will enhance the state's ability to withstand severe floods and riverbank erosion along the Brahmaputra river. This comes as an addition to an existing $200 million project. The initiative aims to address long-standing issues that impact rural poverty and livelihoods across Assam.
