Philippines Seizes Meth Shipment from Afghanistan Hidden in Marble Cargo
Philippine authorities seized a large methamphetamine shipment from Afghanistan at Manila port, exposing new smuggling methods hidden inside marble consignments this week.
Philippine authorities said a major shipment of methamphetamine worth nearly $5 million was intercepted at Manila International Port after arriving from Afghanistan.
Customs officials reported the cargo contained 131 packages weighing about 41 kilograms, falsely declared in shipping documents as marble stone.
