Two new rail projects approved for Kerala to ease travel woes, says Union Minister Suresh Gopi
Kerala is set for a transformative leap in its railway operations with the approval of two major projects. The Alappuzha-Ambalappuzha line is slated for doubling, backed by a budget of Rs 324.16 crore, which will enhance train services for both commuters and freight. Similarly, the upcoming Palakkad town-Parali bypass line, requiring Rs 163.57 crore, is expected to alleviate traffic bottlenecks.
