Digital arrest scams: Supreme Court raises alarm over bank officials’ role

The Supreme Court has strongly criticised bank officials for their alleged involvement in digital arrest scams. The court described the siphoning of money as 'absolute robbery and dacoity'. Concerns were raised about possible collusion or negligence by bank staff. The Chief Justice of India stated that banks are trustees of public money and this trust should not be broken.
