Last year’s batch of “26” OS updates was dominated by the launch of Liquid Glass, Apple’s transparency-themed cross-platform design language. Liquid Glass, sadly, was not universally embraced, with some users finding it confusing or even illegible. And the company eventually had to offer a way to turn off some of its most extreme visual effects.

Apple fans are now starting to think about the 2027 updates that will be announced at WWDC in June and rolled out to the public in the fall...
