Green Garnet Mine Discovered in Panjshir, Afghanistan

Panjshir’s Minerals and Petroleum Department announces the discovery of a green garnet mine.

The Taliban-controlled Minerals and Petroleum Department in Panjshir has reported the first discovery of a green garnet mine in the province.

According to Mohammad Qasim Amiri, head of the department, the mine is located in the Ab-Dara village of Anaba district.

Extraction rights for the mine have been granted to an individual named Syed Rahim, as announced in an official newsletter.
