Two grabbed in Oti Region for possession of firearm and ammunition

Two persons have been arrested in the Oti Region for allegedly possessing a firearm and a large quantity of ammunition without lawful authority. The Oti Regional Police Intelligence Directorate said the arrests followed intelligence received on February 7, 2026, indicating that a Kia Rhino truck with registration number GS 4677 ndash;17 was transporting boxes of ammunition from Accra to Kpandai in the Northern Region.
