Briquettes from green waste: Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation’s eco plan

Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) is establishing a specialized plant to convert green waste into briquettes, a clean-burning fuel. A private agency will operate the facility, paying BMC a monthly royalty, while the briquettes will serve as an alternative to coal and firewood for industrial and institutional use.
